Welcome in our beautiful villa!
Bijou de Dordogne is still fairly new, but already has a nice history. Maaike (mother) opened Bijou de Dordogne as a B&B six years ago. Two years ago, Ilona (daughter) succeeded her. And now they both think it’s time to rent Bijou de Dordogne as a whole villa.
Why? Maaike wanted to be in the Netherlands a bit more. And for Ilona, it was difficult to combine the B&B with her other work. Niels (Ilona’s partner) is also busy with his business.
So renting out Bijou de Dordogne was a logical next step. We hope you won’t enjoy it here as much as we do!
What's good must be kept good
Bijou de Dordogne has received many great reviews as a B&B. And we hope to get them for the villa as a whole. We do have every confidence in that.
Why? Because we are still doing our best to keep everything in top condition. And we keep improving things, both inside and outside.
This winter, for instance, we are building a nice big BBQ corner with a lounge bench and fire pit.
Maaike knows a lot about plants and has real green fingers. She makes sure everything blooms and grows beautifully.
The only thing we don’t have to do anything about is the wide views over the Dordogne valley. That is always just as beautiful!
